It truly works to spark a conversation that gets folx excited and eager to learn more about patriarchal oppression, and how these damn stigmas ever started.
I’m hoping as we move forward in a country where our healthy care system is uncertain, we can do more as individuals to advocate for ourselves and normalize the use of not only cannabis; but the use and integration of all plant medicine as part of our ability to manage chronic pain and illness.✊🏼

What’s taking place in our democracy is a reminder that yt Republican women running for office can be just as dangerous to our democracy and freedom as any sexist, racist, bigoted man.
Hate has no gender.
The numbers don’t lie. I was hoping things would change since the last election but nope-Republican women, Y’all really do suck.

You play the role of the oppressed and the oppressor with such ease that you don’t even know the difference anymore. You have shown the world that as long as you continue benefiting from the systems that protect you and yours,that’s all that matters to you.
But I’m here to tell you your kids have spoken. Miraculously, so many have escaped your sexist, racist and bigoted ways, and want to help repair the world.
You serve as a lesson to them, as my family served for me; that’s why I do this work.

Ok here’s the backstory to the glass knuckles. ( please share if you’re tired of being an uncompensated caregiver).

I’m a death doula who’s caring for their aging alcoholic coon ass Dad, with progressing dementia.
My Dad, like most male boomers ( except for 3 of my clients) is a selfish son of a bitch who has never respected women. He especially lacks respect for the caregivers, (all women ) in his life who’ve stepped up to help him in this phase of his life; so they’ve all split and I don’t blame them.
What’s worse is this man hoards his money and has never offered to compensate me for gas, time off work, or the assault to my olfactory sense that I will never recover from.

He is literally the most selfish person I know, but what this work has taught me is that people only get away with treating you like shit when you allow them to. And at the same time everyone deserves compassion at the end of life.

I’ve never had to stand up to such an oppressive force in my LIFE.
My Dad sadly represents everything that is wrong in our, culture when it comes to the oppressive treatment of women and the care we provide for our families and communities.
I‘m determined to put an end to it by sharing this part of my exceptionally trashy side. 🙂

As part of my compensation for the years of misogynistic and sexist abuse I’ve had to endure over the years ,this single Mom is finally receiving the proper funding for her business by demanding that I be paid for my time and caregiving.
Each time I go out to Crowne Point I buy a couple more sets of glass knuckles to design.
It has now become my joy.

So I hope you enjoy my Art knuckle series as much as I love making them.

Putting down a pet should NEVER be this difficult.

Pet products and care is a 34.3 billion dollar industry. Up from 24billion from 2010.

Before you say it, I know, #notallvets are doing this, but the numbers don’t lie.
Capitalist greed plays a massive role in prolonging a pets life in 2022.
Maybe it’s time we take a step back and ask ourselves, how far is too far when it comes to extending the life of a really sick pet.

We shouldn’t need an advocate for this type of thing, but until we normalize the death in our culture, what happened here will continue until all out pets will resemble the walking dead.

Love and care for your pets like family.
Let grace, not guilt guide you. When it’s your pets time, they’ll let you know.

@independencestnola knew it was her pet’s time.

@independencestnola knew it was her pet’s time. All the signs were there. Frances had been telling the world that she was dying for a while. Yet, although Jaime had come to terms with Frances’s end of life,the vet clinic thought differently.

Instead, they bullied my friend into putting a 13 year old lifeless white boxer on oxygen, followed by a trip to the ICU! They pumped Frances with a hefty dose of steroids and said “See, she’s fine.” She wasn’t.
Jaime, a dear friend, and one of the most gifted intuitives I know, didn’t think to call me because, she figured she had everything under control.

But she wasn’t prepared to have to fight like this.
She needed her “Death Voice.”

Had I been there as a death doula, I would’ve stepped in to advocate for both Frances and Jaime’s needs.
Had anyone gotten in our way; I would have raised hell until someone holding a syringe, signaling us to a room appeared. Very simple.

Unfortunately, what happened to my friend is not unusual. Like dying humans, the medical establishment now has all the best treatments to extend your pets life, or as I like to say prolong the dying process. If you have the funds they’ve got the remedy. There is a price tag on suffering, and the vet world knows how to profit from it.
And this is a perfect example of what it looks like.

So, I finally got involved and what takes place next is so ridiculous that @independencestnola and I decided to share it in a video.
So stayed tuned for the rest of the story.

“Cl**SIT” (CSM) is a meditation hack I created in 2016.
I use it all the time to take me into a deeper state of relaxation when I need to connect with myself and get my meditation on.

Although I’d love to talk more about it - my lil creation has been met with a lot of resistance over the years - especially on this platform.

But I know y’all love it and in a post Roe V world- I know it’s needed now more than ever. Because what I notice more than anything is that CSM builds community. In a world where trust in the systems put in place to protect us are failing, and our leaders are either in denial or too chicken shit to do anything about it - pussy owners need a dbl shot of something. CSM is it. 🐱🐱🐱
